Carrie Kelley: Robin

Why I chose to make this costume:
Carrie is a character that was introduced to me by a friend who said that I reminded them of her. After reading her backstory, and watching Batman: The Dark Knight Returns movie, I knew I had to cosplay as her character. She is a nerdy girl who loves Batman, and basically cosplays herself into his sidekick role. One of my favorite Robins, and the most underrated in my opinion. I have since parted with this costume, but will always cherish the time spent in her and the select interactions with the few who recognized her. She will hold a special place in my heart.
Thoughts on this costume:
Carrie was debuted at SC Comicon 2016. This costume is a mix of handmade and purchased items. The wig, slingshot, goggles, tights, spandex briefs, and gloves were all from Amazon. My belt and boots were thrifted; the boots being painted with Angelus leather paint. My shirt and cape were handmade by me.
