Bootay Bag Subscription

Recently, my friend Katherine over at Engineering in Style posted a fun photo on her Instagram account that I couldn’t ignore. I have a thing for cute underwear. I even have a Pinterest board dedicated to wearing cute underwear. In fact, I love the idea of being one of those women who has matching sets, and just rocks it down to the unmentionables in life. Unfortunately, I fall victim to the 5 for sets at Victoria Secret. Not anymore. The post that caught my attention was a subscription called the “Bootay Bag.”

The Bootay Bag subscription is, you guessed it, an underwear subscription that sends you two pairs of undies a month. I’m a victim of an online shopping problem, but how could I say no when it was comparable to what I would spend at Victoria Secret  anyways while being delivered straight to my door? A few days ago I got my first delivery, and I wanted to share my thoughts on it with you.

Affordability

I find it hard to justify more than $15 a month on something that is a completely unnecessary addition in my life. Luckily, this subscription fell at the perfect price of $12 a month. For that you get shipping, and two new pairs of panties. Considering you’re probably paying at least $2 for shipping that makes about $5 a pair. As Victoria’s Secret’s prices increase, that makes this a better deal than the ever increasing price of the 5/$27. They were also doing a deal this month to get your bag for $8, so even better! At the very least it was worth trying it once.

Options

They have three options for their customers:

• Always Thongs
• Never Thongs
• Mix It Up

I decided it was time I mixed it up, so I went with that option rather than instinct that wanted to go with always thongs. Giving people the options to choose their variety helps prevent people from getting something they’d hate. I know most people are religiously either against butt floss or for it. Haha.

Presentation

I love the simplicity of their packaging. Cleancut and unobtrusive when it arrives in your mailbox. A little motivational talk on the outside, but nothing to draw a lot of attention. Then on the inside it is full of colorful and fun surprises.

Variety

As far as what was sent to me for the first month, I got what was promised. One thong and one cheeky panty. I felt the need to talk about the variety as part of my review because I felt it was a little lacking. Both panties were adorable, but both were also lace with polka dots. I guess I was just expecting two completely different things between the two options. I’ll have to wait until next month to find out if maybe they just do a different theme every month or not.

Overall

Overall, I will be keeping my subscription for at least a few more months. It was nice to break free of my traditional habits for underwear. I would rank this subscription in the favorites of ones I’ve subscribed to in the past. One last piece of advice, people had mentioned they ran small, but I stuck with my standard sizing which seemed to work pretty well for me.
